Man, I love my Sketch Fighter 2… I wish I could get my hands on Sketch Fighter 3: Brush Impact, though!
I played the demo for Crackdown 2 a couple of weeks ago. It seemed fun but after a while it got boning for me.
I was finally able to rent it the actual game from Blockbuster a few days ago. After playing it for a bit, it still feels like the demo.
Don’t hate me but these next few words will not be pretty.
The game seems like a dull copy of the first. You get to choose an agent to play as that has no name and no back story. At least with the first installment you had a good story to work with and the ending made you say, “WTF?”. I’m not sure if the ending of Crackdown 2 will have the same effect and I’m really not even sure if I’ll reach that ending. The game is repetitive and gets boring fast. It also seems that some of the missions forces you to play online with friends or with random people. This is something that shouldn’t be forced onto a player. If you want to have multi-player don’t force it into the main story of a game.
They did do a good job with the open world but it’s the same open world that we’ve played in the first Crackdown. Yes, its neat to see landmarks destroyed but it would have been better to be able to play in a new environment.
I find it funny that when you get to choose the agent you want to be, the four choices are all male and its one black, one white, one Asian and one Hispanic. At least they want to cover all the races but not sex.
Honestly, this game is a rental and invest your $60 into another game.
